When Mark Wood first started MWROC, Tracy was his first choice to share the commitment for the highest level of excellence in our electric string world. They met each other around the time when they were attending Juilliard School of Music. Since then, Mark watched Tracy build an incredibly diverse and successful career as an electric violinist. The best version of the Turtle Island String Quartet was him, Darol Anger, Danny Seidenberg, and Mark Summer.

Tracy has premiered and recorded several electric 6-string violin concertos written specifically for him by major composers in places like Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Disney Concert Hall, Lincoln Center and many others. He tours as a concert soloist with symphonies all over the world, as well as in a duo with Roy “Futureman” Wooten and in his one-man live looping concerts.

Silverman is the author of The Strum Bowing Method: How to Groove on Strings and the founder of The Strum Bowing Groove Academy, an online library of video courses, method and etudes books, play-along and demonstration tracks, private online lessons and an active private Facebook group.
