Serenity Seely studied music at Utah State University with an emphasis in choral education and psychology. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona in Positive Psychology and Communications.
Serenity began teaching voice and piano in her own private studio over 16 years ago. She has spent the last 4 years teaching in the classroom at the junior high and high school levels where she has served as Director of Choirs and Orchestras. She is currently working as Director of Choirs at the junior high level. She has competed with her ensembles and won First Place and Gold at both the state and national levels.
She adjudicates Solo Choir Auditions at both the Regional and All-State levels, has co-presented at AMEA, and directs the premiere south-east Phoenix community choir, INSPIRE Voices. Serenity uses positivity with her students to craft deeper connection, community, and creativity to help each one see more fully their worth and value and specifically encourages her students to work with their voice as a vehicle of connection, expression, and communication.
Serenity lives in the greater Phoenix, AZ area where, aside from teaching, she can often be found lending her voice to both studio and on-stage musical projects and hanging with her amazing husband and eight children.
